Collection: About
Isabelle Tellié — born 1991 in Düsseldorf, now based in Berlin — is a German-French interdisciplinary visual artist whose work challenges the way we perceive the world.
Trained in Fashion Design at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem, graduating summa cum laude in 2015, she brings a rare perspective to contemporary art. Using innovative techniques such as laser cutting and 3D printing alongside traditional methods, she creates complex works rooted in Optical Art — abstract patterns and geometric forms that provoke surprising, sometimes unsettling effects.
"It is never what it seems." Reflections, light and perspective are the protagonists of her sculptures, crafted from acrylic glass and durable paper materials. For a moment, the viewer is immersed in unexpected dimensions of reality — guided into a meditative, heightened state of mind.
Isabelle approaches sculpture the way she once approached textiles: as an open territory for dynamic dialogue and unexplored perspectives. At the heart of her work lies duality — the symbiotic relationship between artwork and viewer, between artificial order and natural organicity, logic and intuition, trigger and response.
Her art doesn't just fill a space. It transforms it.
